HR that actually runs your payroll.
Every US state. Malaysia. Singapore.
People, leave, time, payroll, and reports in one calm tool. One plan, everything in — $6 per employee, no base fee, no minimum.
30-day full-feature trial. No credit card.

HR software comes in two sizes: toys and tanks. The toys track birthdays and call it culture. The tanks demand an implementation team, a six-month rollout, and a consultant who bills by the acronym.
Payroll is where small teams actually get hurt. A state filing nobody knew about, a final paycheck a day late, a ceiling nobody was watching. The penalty letter does not care that you were busy running the company.
You shouldn't need a consultant to pay the people you hired. You should open the tool, and the tool should already know the rules — every state, every statutory body, every deadline.
Your team is paid. Your filings are ready. You did neither. That's Hank.
01
Your data, your fields.
Every company tracks something no HR system has a field for. In HankHR you create the field — or a whole effective-dated table — in about a minute. It appears on profiles, in imports, in permissions, and in reports, automatically. The Job tab works the way history actually works: rows in time, not overwrites.
Sixteen field types, one renderer — profiles, imports, filters, and reports all understand them.

02
Payroll that shows its work.
Every payslip line expands to show its math — rule, rate, base, source. Wage bases and ceilings are watched for you; deadlines arrive on a calendar, not as penalties. Bank files and filing-ready statutory reports come out of the box.
One expanded line of a payslip trace.
03
Answers, not exports.
Every field — including the ones you invented — is a report column. Filter, group, compare periods, save, schedule, share. “Headcount as of January 1” is one click, not an afternoon in a spreadsheet.

Compliant where you hire.
Statutory rules are effective-dated data with sources on file — not constants in code. When a rate changes, Hank reads the rulebook so you don't have to.
United States — 50 states + DC
Federal withholding, FICA, and FUTA credit reductions; state income tax, unemployment insurance, SDI and PFML programs, and local taxes where they apply.
Malaysia
Calculated from the official tables — bracket-exact EPF, ceilings respected, remittance data ready before the 15th.
Singapore
Age-banded CPF with ordinary and additional wage ceilings, itemized payslips per MOM, CPF EZPay submission file.
Guardrails, not surprises.
Three of the warnings the product raises on its own:
Final pay — California
Involuntary terminations pay final wages on the last day. This run’s deadline moved up to Thursday.
Minimum wage — comp change
This hourly rate is below the minimum wage for Riley’s work state. Hank circled it before it reached payroll.
CPF ceiling — Singapore
Mei’s bonus crossed the additional-wage ceiling. This month’s CPF is capped; the year-end true-up is already noted.
Every rate cites its source.
Not one statutory number in HankHR is a constant buried in code. Each is an effective-dated row carrying the authority it came from and the date we last checked it — so a rate change is data we update, not a bug you discover on a payslip. No other payroll tool shows you this.
| Jurisdiction | Statutory rule | Current value | Source | Verified |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Malaysia | EPF employee contribution | 11% | kwsp.gov.my | Jul 2026 |
| United States | Social Security wage base | $184,500 | ssa.gov | Jul 2026 |
| Singapore | CPF Ordinary Wage ceiling | S$8,000 | cpf.gov.sg | Jul 2026 |
A sample of the effective-dated rules engine. Every approved run snapshots the exact rule versions it used, so any payslip is reproducible months later.
How it feels
1
Add your people
Import the spreadsheet you already have. The mapper matches columns, validates every row, and flags what it couldn’t.

2
Approve things from one Inbox
Leave, timesheets, payroll, documents — one list with a badge count. Nothing waits in a tab you forgot.

3
Run payroll with confidence
The run points at what changed and what to check. Approve when it reads clean.

One plan. Everything in it.
No modules, no base fee, no quote wall — this page is the quote.

In Malaysia and Singapore, the regional benchmark bills HR and payroll as two separate subscriptions — so most buyers pay roughly double without realising it. HankHR is one plan: RM 700 all-in at 100 people, versus about RM 1,600 split.
A seat is an active employee — user accounts for managers and accountants are free. Volume tiers apply automatically to the whole team. Annual billing is two months free. Every plan starts with a 30-day full-feature trial, no card required.
Built to be trusted with payroll.
Bank details and IDs encrypted at rest, every organisation isolated by row-level security, an append-only audit trail on every change, and — by design — no custody of your money. We'd rather show you exactly how it works than wave a badge.

Questions, answered plainly.
Can we migrate from spreadsheets or another system?
Yes — most teams import from a spreadsheet in an afternoon. The CSV importer maps your columns, validates every row, and brings custom fields and dated history along. If anything snags, a human helps.
Does HankHR move money or file with the government?
By design, your money never leaves your control — no float, no wallet, no third party holding your funds. HankHR calculates everything to the sen, generates the bank payment file you upload through your own bank, and produces filing-ready statutory reports with exact figures and deadlines. You keep the accounts and the final click. Direct deposit and e-filing are on the roadmap for teams who want them.
How is our data protected?
Identification numbers and bank details are encrypted at rest and masked in the interface — revealing one is an audited action. Every organization’s data is isolated by row-level security, and every change lands in an audit log.
Which countries does payroll cover?
The United States — all 50 states plus DC, including state income tax, unemployment insurance, and SDI/PFML programs — Malaysia, and Singapore. New countries arrive when customers need them.
Does it work with our scheduling tool?
Hours sync nightly from Schedaddle, overtime is computed per jurisdiction, and anything odd lands in your Inbox for review. No Schedaddle? Manual timesheets are built in.
Do we own our data?
Entirely. Full export of employees, payroll history, reports, and documents — any time, no questions asked, no exit interview.
Run a great company.
Hank runs the rest.
